Founded by a student who cares about health from the inside out
Anatomy Adventurers was founded by Anya Mantena the summer of her freshman year at Folsom High School, while she was volunteering as a camp counselor for Camp Curiosity at the Museum of Science and Curiosity (MOSAC) and volunteering at Mercy Hospital of Folsom. Through those experiences, she noticed a consistent gap: people of all ages struggle to describe what's happening in their own bodies. Health literacy begins early, or not at all. Beyond core anatomy content, sessions naturally reinforce everyday wellness habits like nutrition, movement, sleep, and hygiene, as part of a well-rounded health literacy foundation.
Anya is also a Health Ambassador at Folsom High School (Aug 2025 to June 2026), a member of the SCOE Youth Advisory Council, and has completed 100+ clinical hours at Mercy Hospital of Folsom.

Our Mission
Anatomy Adventurers brings hands-on, age-appropriate human anatomy education to elementary and middle school students, building health literacy and early STEM identity in children who would otherwise have limited access to this content.
